Kick-boxer, Calligraphy Artist, Dentist, Doctor, Embroidery Artist, Language Teacher, Poet and more. These are the Welsh Muslim Women who were showcased in Ayesha Khan’s Photo-gallery Ayesha is a photography graduate and one of MEND volunteers in Cardiff.
Art Council of Wales in Collaboration with Muslim Engagement and Development (MEND) organised a panel discussion about Muslim women representation. The event was an opportunity to engage with the photographer Ayesha Khan, ask questions, find out the challenges of breaking down prejudices and see the innovative photo-gallery (Instagram: @mwmuslimwomen). The event took place on Tuesday 18th of Sept and was sponsored by the Welsh Government.
