Islamophobia: Causes and Cures at Anglia Ruskin University

On the 8^th Feb MEND were hosted by Anglia Ruskin Islamic Society to deliver our flagship presentation. The event started with complimentary slices of fresh pizza for all the attendees. As the presentation started more and more students filed in filling the room with inquisitive minds. Hands were raised, comments were made and nods of agreement were scattered around the room. When the presentation ended the audience were asked to share any encounters they have had with Islamophobia. Some students confidently told their stories whilst others commented on the experiences shared by offering advice and support. The evening ended with the students now committed to tackling Islamophobia.
