In a virtual space dedicated to fostering empathy and understanding, Lancashire MIND hosted an impactful online workshop addressing the crucial theme of becoming an active bystander when witnessing Islamophobia.
The event, held in support of Islamophobia Awareness Month, was expertly delivered by MEND (Muslim Engagement and Development), providing participants with essential tools to combat prejudice. MEND’s expertise in facilitating such workshops was evident as they guided participants through recognizing and intervening in instances of Islamophobia, empowering individuals to be proactive allies in their communities. Lancashire MIND’s collaboration with MEND exemplifies a commitment to social awareness and the well-being of diverse communities.
We extend our sincere appreciation to both Lancashire MIND and MEND for organizing and delivering this enlightening workshop. By hosting events that encourage active bystandership, Lancashire MIND contributes to the creation of a more inclusive and compassionate community, with MEND’s guidance amplifying the impact of this important initiative. As we express our gratitude, we celebrate organizations that actively work towards breaking down barriers and fostering a society where everyone feels seen, heard, and valued.
