A National Movement
Be part of the UK’s leading grass roots movement dedicated to tackling Islamophobia across all aspects of society. Our people come from all walks of life; we have lawyers, entrepreneurs, doctors, teachers, housewives, students and much more.
You’ll fit right in!
Protect your Halaal Meat & Islamic dress
MEND is committed to protecting Muslim rights in the UK including Halaal Meat, the Hijab, the Niqab, Islamic Wills and more. Play your part in this vital challenge.
Challenge the Media
We all get frustrated and at times despondent when we see false stories on Muslims in the media. MEND’s masterclass will make you an expert in challenging incorrect stories and gaining apologies/corrections from major publishers.
Lobby your MP
We all want change for the better, but what is the best way to achieve it? MEND’s politics masterclass will give you a real flavour of the society-wide challenges facing British Muslims and how you can lobby your MP for positive change.
Public speaking and media skills
We encourage all volunteers to master our landmark ‘Islamophobia – causes and cures’ presentation. Once you’ve been assessed on your delivery of it, you can present it publicly too. We have already presented it to over 30,000 people. We may even put you on the media too!
Unparalleled education programme
MEND’s technical prowess is Alhamdolillah unparalleled in the UK. We will train you on our briefing papers, numerous election manifestos, masterclasses, advanced training courses and much more. Best of all, it’s all free!
Local Police Force
MEND successfully lobbied to ensure police forces across the UK record Islamophobia as a separate category of crime (similar to racism and anti-Semitism). We now work with police forces to ensure Islamophobia is reported, recorded and tackled properly.
Local Councils
mend works with local councils across the UK to ensure Islamophobia forms part of their hate crime strategy.
Schools and Universities
MEND has created bespoke Islamophobia content for schools which teachers now use across the UK as part of PSHE sessions. We also deliver presentations at dozens of Universities each year.
An award-winning team
MEND may have only been around a few years but we have picked up Global accolades from the likes of the World Economic Forum, the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights & EU Parliament Magazine. See our achievements section.
