On Thursday 4th March, our community team in Yorkshire were invited to support Touchstone with their ‘Islam, Islamophobia and Mental Health’ training.
As part of their wider training, MEND’s Yorkshire and Humber Regional Manager delivered the causes and cures of Islamophobia presentation. The presentation aimed to educate the staff at Touchstone on Islamophobia, its manifestation within the UK and the link between Islamophobia and mental health.
Touchstone provides mental health and wellbeing services to over 10,000 people a year, whilst also working across communities to grow their confidence and capacity to demand the services and positive experiences they are entitled to.
We would like to thank Touchstone for inviting us and look forward to working with them again in the future.
