IAM2017 Exhibitions at Bradford University and Bradford College

IAM2017 Exhibitions at Bradford University and Bradford College

Categories: Past Event Articles

Thursday December 14 2017

The MEND Islamophobia Exhibition was hosted by Bradford University Union, and Bradford College in the last week of IAM. It was reported that hundreds of students engaged with the exhibition throughout the week, and many discussions took place on raising awareness of Islamophobia alongside the positive contribution of Muslims to British life.

The exhibition was placed in Student Central at Bradford University and then in the David Hockney Building at Bradford College. Academics, tutors and students were all engaging with different elements of the exhibition and we received extremely positive feedback by the organisers and participants alike.

Bradford college exhibition was also featured in the local Bradford paper. Here is a link for your perusal: http://www.thetelegraphandargus.co.uk/news/15697387.College_raises_awareness_of_Islamophobia_with_exhibition/

Overall, lots of awareness raised, lots of misconceptions dealt with, and many new friendships created!
