Nazi group plans trip to London for weekend

Wednesday April 11 2018

A recent article by libcom has reported on Generation Identity (GI)’s intention to hold a conference in London this weekend, 14th and 15th of April 2018.

GI has been described as a trans-European pseudo-academic far-right white nationalist group that recruits young people and holds camps to lecture them on xenophobic literature and hosts military exercises.

The conference is due to be held from 10am to 5pm on both days at an undisclosed location. The location is being kept a secret and will only be released to GI attendees.

Groups against GI have claimed that they have obtained a ticket to the conference and have stated that they will release information on the location on their Twitter accounts. Anti-fascist groups are encouraging people to go and protest at the location to prevent the conference from happening.

Mr Martin Sellner, the Austrian GI leader, who has previously been denied entry to the UK due to his racist views, is expected to attempt to come to the conference. He has asked his supporters to arrive at the airport to either welcome him into the UK or complain about him being denied entry.

Other confirmed speakers include: Ms Annika Franziska, the co-founder of German GI; Mr Abel Bodi, the co-leader of Hungarian GI; and Mr Lorenzo Fiato, spokesman for Italy GI.

The spokesman for UK GI, Mr Jordan Diamond, is not expected to speak at the conference with claims he is keeping a low profile. Mr Diamond was caught by an undercover reporter denying the scale of the Holocaust at a GI meeting. The recordings also showed Mr Sellner using the racial slur “P***” and speaking of the “Muslim Question” and the “Jewish Question”.

The group is considered to be one of the fastest rising far-right groups in the UK, benefiting from promotion by Tommy Robinson – the ex-EDL leader and founder of Pegida UK.

They have been noted to be recruiting in universities including SOAS, with campuses being targeted by stickers and posters.
