As Israel intensifies its assault on the Palestinian people, those engaging in peaceful, non-violent protest and resistance are facing increasing pressure and intimidation.

Attempts by the government to suppress free speech and peaceful assembly are becoming disturbingly routine. These efforts must be challenged. The right to protest and express dissent is a cornerstone of our democracy – it is essential that our civil liberties are protected and upheld.
